MacBook Air Core Shutdown Video

Picture 1.jpgJason Snell over at Macworld.com has posted a video covering the issues surrounding the MacBook Air core shutdown problem I detailed a few months ago.

Like me, Jason has seen a marked improvement following the installation of Coolbook'.

Since my original post I am happy to report that I have seen no real side effects to the underclocking; certainly no kernel panics or OS instability. Battery life was waned a little and ranges anywhere between 3.5hrs to 4hrs. This maybe because my MBA battery has now been cycled 251 times and is no longer keeping an optimal charge.

But after 4 months use I can say with certainty that it's one of the best $10 I have ever spent. If I hadn't discovered Coolbook I would have had no choice but to return my MacBook Air to the Apple Store for a refund.
